Strangers no more

It’s not that James doesn’t like his job. It’s just that, given the choice, he’d much prefer to start his work day around noon instead of by 8:30 am. He’s never been a morning person – though, to be fair, it’s not like he’s much of an evening person, either. Sometimes he feels like he’s barely even a person. And yet, despite his distaste for early wake-up calls, James’ favorite part of the day has to be his morning commute to work.

Blondie, as James has taken to calling him in his head, is the pinnacle of manhood.

Because every day on the 7:24 train, James gets to see the man of his dreams in the flesh.

Blondie, as James has taken to calling him in his head, is the pinnacle of manhood. An exquisite specimen of a man. At least, James certainly thinks so, but he’s pretty sure the rest of the world would agree. About James’ age and height, Blondie is muscular in a natural kind of way, nothing like those steroid-pumped gym bros that swarm around the 24-hour gym near James’ apartment block.
