James loves his morning commute. Not because he likes mornings but because het gets to sit with Blondie, the guy who is always in the same carriage. The guy with the shiny, golden locks. Blondie is everything James never even knew he wanted in a man, which is why it's so frustrating that he can only worship him from afar. In the past, he’d never lacked the confidence to make a move on someone he found physically attractive, even if they were complete strangers. But with Blondie, it’s different.
It’s not that James doesn’t like his job. It’s just that, given the choice, he’d much prefer to start his work day around noon instead of by 8:30 am. He’s never been a morning person – though, to be fair, it’s not like he’s much of an evening person, either. Sometimes he feels like he’s barely even a person. And yet, despite his distaste for early wake-up calls, James’ favorite part of the day has to be his morning commute to work. Because every day on the 7:24 train, James gets to see the man of his dreams in the flesh.
With a coy smile, Tom and slides his hand down James’ arm and lets his fingers brush over James’ warm palm. As he starts leading him in the direction of the stairs, James stumbles after him, his feet having lost all smooth coordination. The bedroom is dark until Tom lets go of his hand to turn on the bedside lamps, bathing the stylishly furnished room in a soft, yellow light. But when he turns around to face James again, a little of the earlier hesitance has crept back into his expression. Remembering his earlier promise to himself, James crosses the room in two quick strides, snaking his arms around Tom’s waist and drawing him into a deep, unyielding kiss. Tom responds beautifully, opening up to him and growing noticeably more eager the longer the kiss goes on.
